Meet Velvet and Noka

There is a colony of domestic rabbits that has grown up in Huntington Beach as the result of dumping. The colony is on the grounds of an elementary school, in a small farm section. It has been there for years and once numbered 500+. There are currently about 150 rabbits, the majority of whom have been spayed/neutered as the result of the tireless efforts of Golden Rabbit Rescue. Unfortunately some bunnies slipped through the “fixing” process and a couple of litters have been born.

There are two beautiful little girls, about three months old, who are waiting to be spayed.

Noka is a gorgeous sable color, with darker faces and lighter flanks. Velvet is solid black. They are sweet and friendly especially considering that they were born outside! They will be available in July.
